Marc Maron’s recent interview with Natasha Lyonne on his WTF podcast is great. She tells some pretty dark stories about her drug days, and there’s some seriously real talk about the aftereffects of having unsupportive parents that I identified with pretty strongly. Check it out here if you’re interested.
"What if I told you God is gay?" Elliot Darrow, a student at the University of North Carolina, absolutely kills it with this slam poetry performance about Christianity and homosexuality at the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational back in April. The video’s been up for a while, but it’s making the rounds again and certainly worth a second watch. (via The Advocate)
Scene from John Waters’ Female Trouble (1974). Edith Massey and Michael Potter. Sampled at the beginning of that Sloppy Seconds song I mentioned in the last post—which I’m not actually gonna post here. But this scene is awesome.
"I worry that you’ll work in an office! Have children! Celebrate wedding anniversaries! The world of heterosexuals is a sick and boring life!"

Glass Candy - Johnny Are You Queer?
Intro combines bits from “New Rose” by The Damned, plus “Give Him A Great Big Kiss” and “Leader Of The Pack” by the Shangri-Las,
